Hello Everyone. This thread we will be looking at what the bible teaches in regards to Gods' knowledge of good and evil that mankind received after disobedience to Gods' Word in the garden of Eden. According to the scriptures, God's word teaches that God's 10 commandments give us the knowledge of good (moral right doing) and evil (moral wrong doing); sin (moral wrong doing) and righteousness (moral right doing) *see Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4 and Psalms 119:172.
THE FIRST FOUR COMMANDMENTS SHOW US OUR DUTY OF LOVE TO GOD
God's first four commandments show us how to love God with all of our heart mind and soul which comes from Exodus 20:3-11 and Deuteronomy 6:5
Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain.
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
THE SECOND SIX COMMANDMENTS SHOW US HOW TO LOVE OUR NEIGHBOR
Honor your father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God gives you.
Thou shalt not kill.
Thou shalt not commit adultery.
Thou shalt not steal.
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is your neighbor's.
ALL OF GOD'S 10 COMMANDMENTS ARE REPEATED IN THE NEW COVENANT
You shall have no other gods before Me. It is written: You shall worship the Lord your God and Him only you shall serve. (Luke 4:8; Matthew 4:10; Revelation 14:7)
You must not make for yourself a carved image, a likeness of anything in heaven, on earth, or under the sea. God is Spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. (John 4:24; Acts 15:20; 1 Corinthians 6:9; Ephesians 5:5; 1 Peter 4:3; 1 John 5:21; Revelation 2:14)
You shall not take the Name of the Lord your God in vain. (1 Timothy 6:1, James 2:7)
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. – Binding on all Christians today -Hebres 4:9 (Colossoans 2:16 is in reference to the annual sabbaths in the feat days) The Sabbath [seventh day] was made for man, not man for the Sabbath, so the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath. (Mark 2:27-28, Hebrews 4; Matthew 12:8; Matthew 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56(Mark 2:28; Matthew 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matthew 16:24; 1; Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Revelations 1:10 Is
Honor your father and mother. Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. (Ephesians 6:1; Colossians 3:20; Matthew 15:4; Matthew 19:19)
You shall not murder. I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:44-45; Matt. 5:21-26; Romans 13:9; 1 Timothy 1:9; 1 John 3:15; James 2:11; Matthew 19:18)
You shall not commit adultery. I say to you whoever even looks at another in lust has already committed adultery in their heart. (Matthew 5:28, 1 Cor. 5:11, 1 Cor. 6:18, Galatians 5:19, Hebrews 13:4, James 2:11, Matthew 19:19, Romans 13:9)
You shall not steal. Neither thieves, the greedy, or drunkards and robbers will inherit the Kingdom. (1 Corinthians 6:10, Romans 2:21, Mark 7:21, Ephesians 4:28, Romans 13:9, Matthew 19:18)
You shall not bear false witness. For by your words, you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned. (Matthew 15:19, Ephesians 4:25, Col. 3:9; Matthew 19:18, Romans 13:9)
You shall not covet your neighbors possessions. Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist of the things he possesses. (Luke 12:15, Romans 7:7, Ephesians 5:3, 1 Tim. 6:10, Hebrews 13:5, Romans 13:9)
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF GOD'S 10 COMMANDMENTS IN THE NEW COVENANT?
The purpose of Gods' eternal law (10 commandments) unlike the "shadow laws" of remission of sins from the Mosaic book of the old covenant (e.g. Levitical Priesthood, earthly Sanctuary, all the laws of the sin offerings and animal sacrifices, circumcision, annual feasts days etc *see Exodus 24:7; Hebrews 7:1-25; Hebrews 8:1-13; Hebrews 9:1-27; Hebrews 10:1-22 is to give us the knowledge of good (moral right doing) and evil (moral wrong doing); sin (moral wrong doing) and righteousness (moral right doing) *see Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4 and Psalms 119:172 and to lead us to Christ as sinners so that we might be forgiven by faith in God's true sacrifice for the sins of the world once and for all *see John 1:29; 36; Hebrews 10:10. God's law therefore leads us to Gods' grace and Gods' forgiveness of sin *see Galatians 3:22-25. It shows us that we are all sinners *Romans 3:9-31 and in need of God's salvation and leads us to the great physician and healer of the sins of the world *see Matthew 9:12-13

WHAT GIVES US THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL?
A. Gods 10 commandments and the Word of God gives us the knowledge of good or righteousness (right doing) when obeyed and evil and sin when disobeyed. We have all sinned therefore are sinners in need of Christ and His salvation through faith in His Words. There is no other way to God accept through faith in God's promises of His grace and forgiveness for our sins only found in Christ *Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 6:23 who gives us His Spirit to be born again (John 3:3-7; 1 John 3:4-8) to walk in newness of life *Romans 6:1-23 in obedience to God's law *see Romans 1:5; Titus 2:11-12; Hebrews 8:10-12 from Jeremiah 31:31-34; Ezekiel 36:24-27 which is God's free gift to all who believe and follow His Word.
God bless
To be continued and updated..
According to the scriptures in the OP, God has already given us the knowledge of good (moral right doing) and evil (moral wrong doing); sin (moral wrong doing) and righteousness (moral right doing) *see Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4 and Psalms 119:172 in the 10 commandments so there is no assumption (see also Exodus 20:3-17).
